The expectations of Chaplains are to serve the spiritual and emotional needs of others. Some chaplains perform wedding or funeral ceremonies, deliver spiritual messages, offer prayer at public meetings, and provide daily counseling. Other chaplains meet the need of the moment, usually through listening and prayer.
The office of Chaplain is a diversified position of helps. Chaplaincy is a specialized ministry that covers a variety of ministerial services on behalf of the church, but conducted out in the field. There are a wide variety of chaplaincy settings such as hospitals, prisons, hospice, police and military. You can offer your chaplain services in all of these settings or you can choose a specific field. There has never been a greater need for chaplains in the workplace, institutions or community at large.

"Don't be afraid to step out beyond your comfort zones. The desired fruits of life are out on the limbs of unstable branches. Sometimes you will be required to step out in order to step into greater dimension of blessings."
